Get Pushed Challenge 543
My partner this week wrote "For your challenge, I’d like to see you have a go at the current WWYD challenge. " What to do, what to do? That is the challenge. I remembered I had some old photos of long horned cattle but when I set out to find them I found some photos of buffalo and thought they might be more appropriate, as the original was sort of a plains looking photo. So the challenge, as always for me when I do something like this, is to manipulate the layers in photoshop, to achieve the look I desire.With laundry keeping me at home this afternoon, I thought it was a fun way to spend the afternoon.

WWYD Round 217
@mcsiegle Here's my image for your challenge. I enjoyed playing today - twice. Once with pigs and the other with buffalo. "oh give me a home..."

Oh, well done Kathy. I had started one a week or so ago maybe I should go back and finish mine as well. You chose the perfect subject to combine with this one

The buffalo work perfectly for this shot! Excellent layering- it looks natural.

Wow very well done!

Wow. Better than laundry. Guess it's good we have machines and can play while they work.
December 30th, 2022
Looks totally realistic. Nicely done.
December 30th, 2022
Very convincing, glad I read your narrative or I wouldn't have guessed!
December 30th, 2022
Well done, Kathy. Not a challenge I'd succeed at, that's for sure.

@kjarn Whoops!
@pyrrhula My husband and I passed a field of buffalo in the mountains during a drive one day. Just had to make him stop so I could take some photos.
@mcsiegle Thanks Mary.
@olivetreeann Thanks Ann. I'm not sure about that one buffalo though.
@corinnec Thank you Corinne.
@francoise You got that right Francoise. I have a roomba to do the vacuuming too. More time to play.
@shutterbug49 Thanks so much Debbie.
@pusspup Thank you Wylie. Not quite as exotic as the creatures you show us, but totally American.
@jamibann Thank you Issi. You use your time getting out and stretching your legs and your mind. I sit here where it's warm in the winter, cool in the summer and dry all year round.
@casablanca Thank you. I use Photoshop, so layers copy a photo or part of a photo and you can put one on top of another and see through from the top down, if that makes any sense. You can alter part of each layer so they blend together when looking from the top.
@bkbinthecity Thank you Brian.
@craftymeg Thanks so much Meg.

@randystreat I think what you're noticing is the sizing. He does seem slightly large for the perspective where the others fit right in. In my program I could actually layer the two parts of that photograph separately and size him down. You can probably do that in photoshop too. In mine, I'd have to erase one part out and work with what's left; then do another layer and erase out the first part and work with the second. But for now, I think it works if you're happy with leaving it that way.

That's the way I did it but I didn't notice the animal being too big. With all the AI advancements, I wonder if there's a tool that helps with that.

Well done with this composite! It looks so natural!
You are getting quite competent with PS ... I hope to get there some day.

@farmreporter Thank you Wendy. The basic tools that I use do seem easier to use, but I'm still hunting up directions almost every time. Thank you Google and fellow photographers and computer wizs for the many tutorials out there that are free and easy to find.
