(See yesterday's photo for a description of the challenges)
I took the feedback from yesterday's photo and tried to do another photo. I'm not quite sure why the hand is so difficult to see. Perhaps the patterns I used were too busy or had too much white. Nothing I did seemed to make much difference. I may have almost learned the technique after so many uses yesterday and today but still had to refer to my notes.
This one works much better- I think the lighter colors in the background really makes the hand stand out. I like how it feels as if the colors are spilling out of your hand. Well done!
Am seriously impressed by the effort you have put into these Kathy. I know what a learning curve it is! I think the pattern is too dominant and takes the attenttion from the hand. I have seen this technique used with a pair of hands and a map ( the globe type of map in pastels) and it was very effective because the pattern was on the hands only and the background was plain. Thank you for rising to this challenge so enthusiastically!
Thank you all for viewing and for the feedback offered. This hasn't got me and will not be the last time I try this, but just not for awhile.
