I went outside thinking I'd take some photos of the moon or stars. All were fails. But while I was out there I heard the frogs/peepers singing their songs.
@kjarn Thank you Kathy. Looks like I'm a peeping Tom or Tammy, but it's my house. @wakelys Thank you Sue. @pusspup You know, I've never seen one. I think that they are small tree frogs. Thanks Wylie. @grammyn Thank you Katy. The music is nice in the summer isn't it. I even saw 1 lightning bug, but of course couldn't keep up with it to take a photo. @corinnec Thanks Corinne. @bkbinthecity Thanks Brian. @ziggy77 Thank you Jo. @rensala Thank you Renee. @craftymeg Thank you Meg. @pyrrhula Thank you Ferry.
@randystreat oh! I don’t think I have seen any lightning bugs yet. I would love to get a photo of one, but I have never been able to and it’s more fun just to watch them anyway.
I love hearing the peepers! They are one of my favorite Spring sounds. I like this shot too- it doesn't strike me as mysterious- rather like a warm night sitting on the porch and looking inside before you retire for the evening.
@grammyn If you are in a darker place with a lot of them, it works well if you put your camera on "rapid fire" (the setting that takes continuous shots. @olivetreeann Thank you Ann. The title was intended to be a play on the word peepers - Peeping Toms and peeping frogs. @fbailey I'm not totally in the country but getting there. It's nice when it's quiet to hear them and I'm sorry yours don't peep. I think the frogs might be tiny tree frogs. @haskar Thank you. @will_wooderson Thanks.
