My neighbor's peacocks visit me regularly, especially in the morning. They fly over the fence from their yard and wander about my and my other neighbors' yards and sometimes can be seen on our roofs too. They stop and poke around in the grass and whatever it is they like, it seems to be more abundant when the grass is wet.
@wakelys You know it! Had to hose off the patio this morning. I can only wonder what my roof looks like. Thank you. @30pics4jackiesdiamond Thank you Jackie.
@randystreat Hi Kathy, we're Get Pushed partners this week so my challenge for you is a text portrait, the link below may be useful.
If you'd prefer something else, please get back to me but I know you'll smash this!
@tunia They come by my house (and the neighbors') regularly. They like to hang out on my patio when it rains. Jeesh! @grammyn Thanks Katy. I'm not usually outside with the camera when they are here. I scare them off when I go out. @Dawn Thanks Dawn. @olivetreeann Thanks Ann. They hang out away from their home a lot. One day I saw a post on FB from the neighbor asking if anyone has see one of his peacocks. In another post, it was sighted on the next road, running with the turkeys. @pyrrhula Thank you Ferry. @onewing He's headed toward my patio. He didn't notice me until he got a little closer. @bkbinthecity Thanks Brian. @haskar Yup. The target was my patio. Too bad I was sitting on it. He hightailed it out of there when he saw me. @jamibann Thanks Issi. @kjarn Thanks Kathy. The only way to show off his coloring that morning. @pusspup I wear my waterproof shoes or boots when I'm out in the grass. Easy to rinse off. But they didn't spend a lot of time in my yard that morning that I know of. @casablanca Fun to see, but noisy and nasty. @dkbarnett Thanks Delwyn @rensala As I said, they are fun to see, but noisy and nasty, especially when they decide to "sit a spell" on my patio. @johnfalconer Thanks John. @fbailey I guess they don't fly far but can get out of the way of a predator, over a fence and on top of something high. @will_wooderson Not friendly. Actually quite skittish. He trotted off at great speed when he saw me. @jacqbb Thanks Jacqueline. @craftymeg Thank you Meg. @joemuli Thanks Joey. @taffy He was on some sort of a mission which was aborted and changed to Plan B when he saw me. @mcsiegle Thanks Mary. This one is pretty.
