My first attempt at watercolor since I was a kid. I took a class today. The photo on the left is is my interpretation of a painting that the instructor brought. the second photo, the one on the right, is my watercolor interpretation of a photo I took. I think I did pretty good. I also think that I’ll try this again sometime soon.
@cocobella it was frustrating to me to get the color value. I wanted. Plus the painting on the left wasn’t attempt to copy a photo that I had taken and I didn’t have a good blue. But I am proud of what I accomplished, and I appreciate your encouragement. Thank you. @grammyn Katy, thank you so much. You encouraged me to try and I did. I feel like I will try some more too. @annied thank you Annie. I will do my best with your challenge. I realize they actually have them tagged with two different different tags so I’m gonna guess that you looked at the latest tag which is gpkac. @mcsiegle Mary thank you so much and I intend to keep painting. @olivetreeann thank you and I really appreciate that. @onewing thank you Babs. This was a new experience for me and I really enjoyed it. @cdcook48 thank you very much Chris @bkbinthecity Brian @365anne thank you very much Anne @jamibann I appreciate you saying that Issi. talent maybe maybe not but I plan to keep it up. @haskar oh thank you, Hannah @kjarn I appreciate that Kathy. Thank you, @wakelys Sue, you are so kind. I thank you very much. @will_wooderson thank you Will. I don’t know how to use watercolor well enough to do much more than abstract. I do like the washes of color though. @pusspup thank you Wiley. @summerfield appreciate it Vikki. I hope to do more because I really enjoyed it. @walksnaplove thank you Bec. @ziggy77 thanks Jo. @sunnygirl I appreciate you saying that Mallory. @bobbic thank you Bobbi. I need to learn to get better control of the color values. And the water. I think I dried my painting with the hairdryer more than anybody else in the class. @craftymeg Thank you, Meg. That painting was based on a photo. I took a number of years back. @tunia thank you Tunia. It’s a bit early to call it my style probably more like the style of the instructor. Of course mine, that I copied of hers, looks nothing like hers.
For GP got to page 5 or 6 of your tagged GP challenges and choose a photo to recreate or a challenge to try again.
