I had a task yesterday morning so was at church before the people came to service. I enjoyed watching some of the participants in the service going about their tasks to ensure everything was ready. Two were setting the communion table and two were practicing offertory music. I sure do appreciate all the people who work behind the scenes to make sure everything runs smoothly.
I imagine the task that had you at church early puts you also into that category of dedicated workers—though you’re too modest to take the credit. I second @grammyn Katy’s comment abouf Norman Rockwell scene. Lovely—and what a gorgeous big church!
Dedicated people- and a lovely sanctuary. It doesn't look exactly like Norman Rockwell to me, but it has such a beautiful, serene, atmosphere. I really get the sense of worship in all aspects of service from this shot. Good catch!
@shutterbug49 That's so true. Seems though there are fewer do-bees than there needs to be. @rensala Thank you Renee. @casablanca Thank you Casa. @photographycrazy Thanks Bill. @franbalsera You are right. And often those folks want to remain "invisible." @30pics4jackiesdiamond It is a big church and most recently the only time it has been full was for a well loved in the community as well as the church person's funeral. A shame really. @wakelys Thanks Sue. Because many folks who help and give their time and talents wish to be anonymous we can't properly thank them. @pusspup Yes they are. The young woman at the lectern actually grew up in this church. @ziggy77 Thank you Jo. @tunia Thank you Tunia. It was built before I moved to town. @mcsiegle Thank you Mary. @craftymeg Thanks Meg. @bkbinthecity Indeed they are. We are the church. @olivetreeann Thank you Ann.
@grammyn Thank you. I can see why you would say that. I think it's how people are in action.
