This was taken in our upstairs bathroom just before leaving for work/campus. The shadow of the doorknob is not far below “horizontal”, indicating that the sun isn’t very high in the sky yet. Although many students were in shorts on campus today, the colors, lengthening shadows and the decreasing number of daylight hours are all telling us that summer ’11 is gone. Sigh.

Nice shadows. And I love the text--fall is bittersweet. I've been noticing shadows lately, too. Partly because we saw so few during our seemingly endless rain.
