A friend gave us a lilac bush which we planted in the spring. It had a tough summer in the heat, but it hung on. Within the past several days it sprouted these buds and flowers at the tip of a single twig. Thanks for the surprise!

@rhoing I got shot of these lavendar tiny "daisy like" flowers in dead brown leaves....it did remind me that we are about to go into ...da da da! ...the DEAD ZONE. I started this project in June...so I am freaking a bit! I don't know what to shoot. that is why i am doing that book challenge.
@espyetta I conjectured that last winter seemed long for us new to 365 because we were "looking" and seeing more carefully, or with a new sense of vision and I for one just got sick of the gray of winter. But if your favorite colors are in my post for two days ago, then you're ready for winter! ;)
