I attended graduate school in Providence, Rhode Island (Brown U.), home of New England Pest Control and the “Big Blue Bug” (aka “Nibbles Woodaway”), which is a huge, billboard-sized fixture along I-95, just south of I-195 on O’Connell Street.
Some years after moving to Carbondale, a dear Rhode Island friend — thank you, Anne! — sent us this “plush toy” (“‘stuffed’ animal”?) of Nibbles, which now hangs in my campus office.
It seemed appropriate to post this for the theme, particularly after beginning to “follow” a 365’er who lives in Providence. Thanks for prompting this, Allison = @allisonrap (not “Ellen”)!
