No farther than the garden again today with this miserable cold and all that I photographed outside has been posted before except for a couple shots not in sharp focus and this guy. Lots of Gray Hairstreaks and they can be mesmerizing, but I've already posted both views of that butterfly.

Note. “Pensylvanicus” is not misspelled above! From bugguide.net, “pensylvanicus is Latin for ‘of Pensylvania’. As noted in the Remarks, the spelling with one n was in common use at the time (de Geer says in the description that the specimen was sent to him from ‘Pensylvanie’), so the species name based on it can’t be corrected under the rules governing scientific names.”
