Last day of ‘flash-o-red 2014’

I was excited to finally get some good shots of a particular plant in the greenhouse that I've been watching for months (“Justicia scheidweileri”). Alas, the images are horrible in B&W. But fortunately I got this one, which looks pretty good in B&W; here it is in color: http://phytoimages.siu.edu/imgs/paraman1/r/Piperaceae_Piper_sarmentosum_80937.html

This is “Piper sarmentosum” (common name “Wild pepper”). Species page at PhytoImages, http://phytoimages.siu.edu/cgi-bin/dol/dol_terminal.pl?taxon_name=Piper_sarmentosum&rank=binomial

So here’s my flash-o-red 2014: http://365project.org/rhoing/365/2014-02

Very interesting plant. Are those berries or new buds?

@digitalrn The caption on this image at PhytoImages is “inflorescence to infructescence series,” so I guess those are berries *and* new buds!
