Respite from battling the waves

Yesterday was Clare’s first return to rowing after fracturing/breaking her scaphoid 53 weeks ago. We went out together again today, even though it was quite breezy. (Said another way, there were strong waves.) We found solace in this cove, which I hadn’t fully explored before. It came in quite far and had a good “curve” to it, which explains how calm the water is here while being quite “uncalm” not many meters away. Clare rested her back by lying back flat in the cockpit.

It's good to hear she was able to get back out, now to get the strength and endurance back.
