At the convent of the Adorers of the Blood of Christ — http://www.adorers.org/ — a women's religious order, who came to Ruma, Illinois (in Randolph County along the Mississippi River) in 1879. This building is now used for nursing elderly nuns, but also for the reason I was here today. It's a facility for retreats and workshops. I am on the "team" for next weekend's men's Cursillo weekend, but I was here today to help set up for the women's Cursillo weekend which begins today.

• Saint Patrick Church; the parish probably dates from either 1818 or 1827, and is the oldest existing English-language parish in Illinois.
• The graves of the "Martyrs of Ruma," five Adorers who were executed in Liberia in 1992.
