Finally saw the baby this morning. Was so surprised as I walked up towards the tree and saw it sitting up there like that. Not sure if there are any more are not, as if there are, it must be mighty crowded in that hole in the tree. So think this may be the only one. But I'll keep an eye on it for a little bit to see if another one is near by. Mom was not far away and I think the little one was waiting on her to bring back breakfast.
OMG this is the best image EVER .... Barred Owls are amazing.... I work with injured wildlife and we have two non-releasable ones at work that incredible animals....
What a wonderful thrill to find this cutie. I have a couple Great Horned Owlets in my area and it is so wonderful watching them, they are hopping from branch to branch now a flying just a little bit. Look forward to seeing your images as they grow
