Made two attempts to wade the river and get a shot of this guy. The first attempt wasn't successful, at all, as it flew just as I got within a reasonable distance. So was down there again this afternoon and it was there again. Made another attempt to wade over to where it was resting. Actually managed several shots and then turned back and left it sitting on it's limb. Not sure if getting any closer would tend to scare it away for good or not. Of course, I'll probably try to ease up there just a little closer the next time. It's so high up, wouldn't think it would bother it too badly.
