This was from the trip to the Alligator Farm. Still trying to pick out the best shots. Also, someone had mentioned about how high that we were to be making the shots. There is a raised platform that goes over the alligators which is probably about 10 to 15 feet above ground level. So that somewhat puts you a good ways up in the trees. But a lot of the nest are right at eye level as you walk along the walkway, so you can see right into them. It is an amazing place, and the birds come back every year.
I have to ask where this is. When you mention Alligator Farm I think St. Augustine. I haven’t been to the Alligator Farm but if you get these amazing shots I need to go. Nice capture!
Very cool picture, and sounds like a very cool place. I don't go down to Florida much but next time if I'm near it I'll have to check out the Alligator Farm.
@paulacryer@momamo@ludwigsdiana@elatedpixie@koalagardens@swchappell@ninaganci Thanks everyone, appreciate all of your comments, view's and fav's. Yeah, Paula, this was at St Augustine, just south of Jacksonville. It is an amazing site and well worth the visit. Just check with them to make sure that there are still plenty of birds there. Later on in the season, I think they may get a little less populated.
