Went to one of my close spots today and just happened to catch one of the young Bald eagles flying by. Actually, it was being chased by a crow, which seems so ridiculous, but it happens all the time. And the shot took it right over one of the power lines, so that is what that dark line is in there.
Incredible shot! That crow behaviour is called “mobbing”. They do it to try and keep birds of prey away from their nests, as hawks and eagles will steal the babies. Scientists think the idea is to make the area around the nest too unpleasant for hunting, and too much work.
