Couldn't really find exactly what kind of turtle this one is. But it does have sort of a pre-historic look about it. I have never seen it down where I normally walk around, but it was all over the place today and must have been walking around pretty fast. First thought was a gopher tortoise, bit don't think that is the case. It was rather large and has those very distinguished patterns on the shell.
Fabulous find and shot. We have plenty here, just not as yellow as this one. They are actually tortoises which spend their time on land. Turtles spend their time in water or sunning on rocks close by.
Such a wonderful find - he is certainly a beautiful tortoise, Super capture, full of clarity and detail ! So prehistoric, love the colour, design of the shell, fav
