Woodstorks Searching for Breakfast!

Got the Woodstorks up close to the pier this morning, so was able to get some fairly close-up shots. It's a shame that their heads are so unpleasant to look at, when for the most part they are some pretty birds, at least body wise. :-)

@milaniet thanks Milanie. Yeah, they are real interesting, the way that they hold out that one wing while searching for food and usually make a circle where they are standing.

@gilbertwood @nickspicsnz @koalagardens @johnfalconer @claycameras Thanks everyone. Nick, not sure exactly why they hold out the wing like that. The way they just stick that bill down in the water, not sure what purpose it could serve. Guess I'll have to read up on it some more.
