Hadn't been able to find Mom and the children, but went down today and got lucky. First I heard several Blue Jays making their noise and rushed over to where that was coming from. And sure enough, they were attacking mom. She stayed up in that tree for quite a while, while being buzzed and poked by the jays, before finally flying to another tree and tried to get further tucked in. The Jays finally went on about their business and mom took a few minutes to cool down.
