Not sure exactly what this one was doing, but it was just sitting above the nest. At times, it almost looked like it was nodding off. It did give a head on view of that bill. Almost looks prehistoric.
The wood storks and heron sit in that position to provide some shade for he nest. But our nest have already babies and it is bloody hot already. Great capture, you are lucky to have the Spoonbill so close by.
