Another shot from my trip to Kirkby Underwood in Lincolnshire. This time just the Lancaster as it was impossible to get them all in the frame. I wish I had the confidence to lower the shutter speed a bit more to enhance the prop blur but it's a fine line with these sort of shots to keep them sharp :)
I love the Lancaster bomber. It is a beautiful piece of aeronautical engineering. The photograph is pin sharp. You were very lucky to have it come so close to you. Well captured. Another's favourite.
@mv_wolfie Thanks yes it's important to remember it was a killing machine. Lest we forget. @gardenfolk Thank you :) @gaf005 Thanks :) @ricardo17 Thank you. It was a bit of a hunch but it payed off well. I will post the Dakota tomorrow which came even closer :)
Just superb! We were at the display at the Shuttleworth collection on Sunday. It always gives me the tingles to see this aircraft - just before this we saw an amazing display by a typhoon - RAF across the years!
