The Red Arrows returning home this evening from the British F1 grand prix. Usually there are 9 but only 8 performed at Silverstone and only 7 returned this evening so I guess they had some technical issues to deal with.
This seems to be happening more & more. The last display I saw, when the Pumas visited, one of the psycho four was missing, so either 8 or 9. The planes are getting old & I can’t see them being replaced any time soon . Nice shot.
Red 9 is poorly so only 8 left Scampton. Another went belly up on way home and diverted. As Carole said, ageing airframes now and I can’t see them being renewed any time soon.
