One Week Only - great fun and many thanks to Vikki @summerfield for hosting the week. Many thanks also to the wonderful people who have helped me since I joined the 365 community (with a new camera!) at the beginning of 2017. At that stage I would very easily have used Auto to take the photo of the beans! None of the rest of this collection would have existed!! So many thanks to all of you wonderful patient people who have so kindly answered my annoying questions for nearly a full year. You have been wonderful. Cheers Rob Z.
@fbailey LOL - at the beginning of this year it seemed an awfully big ask to get to the end of this year - but now - when you say "wait till the end of 2018" it doesn't even seem silly! It's such a good hobby and I've "met" so many nice people - 2018 here we come. Cheers Rob
@louisanoffke Hi Sapphire - thanks for your comment. To make the collage is quite easy now - was hard to learn how though. I only have a very old editing program called Microsoft Digital Editions. I don't think it even exists any more - my daughter gave me her old version. In it I just open a new slide and drag all of the photos onto that and make them the size and arrangement that I like. I know the new editing programs are a lot more automated and easier to use, but I'm sorry I can't help you with much info on them as I don't use them. Maybe put the tag "collage" into the browse page and see if there's someone you know who has put up a collage - they would be able to give you more help.
@louisanoffke Hi again Sapphire - I just remembered that Taffy mentioned to me that the Pic Monkey program ( the free one that comes with the Ace Membership) also has a collage making component - I think you access it directly online rather than through 365. Apparently you can choose "edit' or "collage"? Not sure though as I've never tried it - finally mastered mine! Hope this is some help. Cheers Rob
That's really fun to put them together. I think you have done very well this year. Did you start Jan 1st? I did.....almost at my full year now too and I have asked SO many questions!! But it's a great place for picking up ideas and help on here. I always appreciate your online company.
@randystreat Thank you Kathy - eclectic is the perfect word for it! LOL Thanks for your nice comment - I hope you enjoyed this activity as much as I did. Cheers Rob Z
@casablanca Hi Casablanca I really appreciate your lovely comments and feedback. It's so good to meet and converse with people from other parts of the world and from different lifestyles. It would be wonderful if you ever get over here and we could meet in person. I joined a few days earlier than you - the day after Christmas! :) And as you say - the year has gone o quickly and the ability level has improved somewhat. LOL Thanks again for your continuing interest!
Good job on the challenge! I am behind on posting my shots, but I've been slowly working through the assignments. The panorama is good and I still really like that white flower!
@olivetreeann Thanks Ann - it was such a good challenge - it was quite a surprise to realize that I could actually do all of them!! :) I was not too happy with the panorama so it's really nice to hear you say that it was good! Cheers Rob
@dkbarnett Hi again Delwyn - thanks for your nice comment. This strange collection of images was the end result of the "One Week Only" challenge hosted by Vikki Summerfield. She chose 7 different tasks to be completed in the one week - these were :
a panorama, a motion image, a long exposure, food ( easy one that!) a macro with bokeh, a local small architecture image and a Hi Key image. It was a great idea and I was so pleased that I could actually complete all of them. I've had so many hints and so much help over the year that I've learnt a huge amount. So it's a big thank you all of the 365 members who have been so encouraging. And a big thank you to you also for your continued interest and encouragement. Cheers for now Rob
great pano shot, rob. and i like that you posted it with your other owo shots. this challenge is good to come back to now and again, especially when you're at a loss as to what to shoot or post and you are not so motivated. it's what i do most times, i go back and try to better myself (most times i fail) but i you're forced to get creative.
@dkbarnett - you can always do the 7 prompts at anytime and you may tag it for the challenge even though it's finished.
i've loved photography at a young age and back in the old country i even took a few classes. but none of them were useful to me so i was shooting however i wanted to. until 365. i learned so much since coming here. the people are so generous with their help and advice on how to best take a photo. that's why i always say to anyone that everything i learned about photography, i learned from 365 project. the challenges get the best of your creativity, too. so feel free to re-do the prompts especially the one or two you that's new to you or which you think you could do better. i plan to do this again, when i read enough of people not having enough motivation. or if One Night Stand doesn't get resurrected. feel free to search on any of the ONS challenges and do any of the prompts and visit the photographs attached as ons-
and thanks for participating. i enjoyed yours and everyone's photos.
@summerfield Hi Summerfield - thanks for your reply - I'll keep an eye out for your next possible owo challenge - it was excellent. And you have summarized perfectly my experience with the 365 community! Many thanks again! Cheers Rob
