The beach looks very busy but there is no one trying to cool in the sea. It is normally the other way round when it is Summer in Malta. Beautiful capture of this lovely scene. Makes me want to prepare my swimming trunks.
today was sunny, then cloudy, then it hailed and rained. Ho hum, planning a return visit in 2021= may get over east on that trip!! love the layers heer so much it's a fav
@sarahlth Hi Sarah - Thanks for your comment - I'm not too good at streets, etc - always worry what the people I'm photographing will think. These ones were a long way away!! Hopefully your weather will start improving soon? :)
@casablanca Hi Casablanca - this was taken from directly at the end of the Surfers Paradise mall, so it's one of the busiest beaches. That flag is one of two - they define the swimming area. It was a pretty dangerous surf that day so the first flag is quite a long way up the beach to avoid the rip. Thanks for having a look. :)
@sangwann Hi Dione - thanks for your comment. I think our system of flags has tricked you. There are two flags which define the safe swimming area - you can see one in the photo. If you look on the right hand side of it you can see a lot of people in the water. The lifeguards keep shooing them back into the safe area so there is no one on the left hand side. And you are right - this is our busiest beach. Cheers Rob
@30pics4jackiesdiamond Thanks for the fav - that's very nice of you. It was a beautiful day - if too hot! If you haven't been to our East coast yet it would be good if you could squeeze some of it in on your next trip - in many ways it's a totally different country to the West coast. :)
@joannakate Hi Joanna - luckily we didn't lose power - but boy was there some incredible thunder. Virtually no rain - this seems to happen a lot these days. It has to start to cool down soon. :)
@fbailey Hi FB - it's crazy watching the seasons from the other side of the world. It's so interesting seeing the types of photos being taken in the different areas. Surely it must start to warm up soon in your area. :)
Hi Madelaine - you are so right - I had another look at it - it's almost as is you are seeing the scene as she would see it. And she does draw your eye towards herself. Well planned - Haha - just lucky , but now that you have pointed it out I'll definitely keep it in mind. Many thanks Rob
