Homeward bound... But i have to thank you to show some more from down under... wish more people in several countries make such trips, easy way to see a lot of beauty and a lot of the world :)
Hi Dione, John, Ko, Jackie, Ulrika, FB, Suzanne, Caterina and Taffy - thanks so much to all of you for your lovely comments and favs. It's a bit funny actually because Errol is always laughing at me taking photos out of the window as we zoom along. Usually I catch trees, posts, fences, blurred cows etc but every now and again some work. This was one that made all the others worthwhile - even Errol liked it!! Thanks also for your interest in our little Lightning Ridge escapade - it's so nice to have a group of lovely people to swap photos with!! Cheers Rob @sangwann@nzkites@madeinnl@30pics4jackiesdiamond@fbailey@suzanne234@caterina@taffy@ulla
I really like the lighting of the grasses...hard to believe this was a "drive-by"...ok, now, stop reading here because following is a wee bit of critique...so, continue only with that in mind.....consider, and just consider, cropping a bit off the sky, perhaps just a bit above the higher hill on the left of the frame. If you've read this far, let me know what you think.....
@granagringa LOL - always open to a suggestion!! I tried it on PicMonkey and made the top sky etc a one third, the sunlit bit a one third and the front paddock a one third. This is the end result. I think maybe I should have had the top third a little heavier in the weighting - the paddock now has too much importance. I'll just try darkening it a bit and at the front and then leave it alone - see how it goes. It's hard to do on here cause you can't change your mind after you export it and you can't really see it well enough while it's still in PicMonkey! LOL Cheers Rob
@robz i see what you mean...& who am i to question both pp and tp....but I think if you export it and make it private instead of public viewing then you can play with pucmonkey and see the results better..
I'm honored you even considered it!!!
I didn’t see t before cropping sky but like the composition a lot and the dreaminess. Only suggestion would be to bring down the highlights or whites so the side building isn’t so hot
@granagringa Gosh Granagringa - why would I not consider it - you've been at this game much longer than me - I'm always interested in suggestions .However, I don't quite know what you mean with the Picmonkey and private viewing. I thought I might check out the full PicMonkey program - we have a new computer for travelling (much lighter and faster) and I can't put my program on it - so I thought Pic Monkey might do. Will see how it sounds. Thanks for your help. Cheers Rob
I really like how you cropped this and especially the lighting. It seems like a painting. I see from the thread you've worked on it a bit, and I think the result is great. I think the proportions and coloring is just right now- mho! fav
