Bergen Bryggen by robz

Bergen Bryggen

The Bryggen was built after the great fire in 1702 and is included on UNESCO's World Heritage List. It is a series of Hanseatic commercial buildings lining the eastern side of the Vågen harbour - it consists of many coloured wooden buildings separated by a series of tight, narrow alleys onto which front many tiny original shop sites and working studios producing glassware, ceramics, fur products, woollen articles etc
Isn't Bergen just gorgeous, my favourite town ever, be better if it didn't rain so much though. A great street capture

The holiday is flying - we'll be in your wonderful city in no time! I'll send an email when we get closer - hope everything is going well for you and yours!! XX
