Through the crevasse....

The whole Granite Belt Ecosystem stems originally from these incredible granite rocks.
Amazing is the right word (but does make me feel claustrophobic)

Is this part of the walk to Donnelly's Castle? You could get claustrophobic in there!

Great shot! Feels very closed in yet an inviting place to explore. I like that we're following the person into the crevice because it shows how high the walls are and how narrow the passage is.

Hi FB, Marnie, Babs, Sheralee, Jacqueline, Ann and Frida - Thank you all for your interest and comments. This is part of Donnelly's Castle and it's interesting to explore. - re the claustrophobia - it's not too bad in the crevasses because it's all open to the sky. The caves are probably worse. It would be interesting to know if this area was occupied before white man turned up - there are so many well formed shelters. The local info doesn't seem to bother much with that aspect of the area's history. Thanks again for your interest. Cheers Rob :)

@rosie00 The Granite Belt is just so different to most of the rest of our state. These rocks and the ecosystem they support are what made us purchase the funny little farm that we now live on part of the time. It's been a great adventure. Cheers Rob
