Hi everone - thanks for your interest in this shot. This was from the top of the tower - the steps wind around that central shaft. You can see the rectangular trough at the bottom - that was filled with water to catch the drops and solidify them. Tasmania is a fascinating place with such interesting historical sites scattered throughout it's length and breadth.
