Sit and watch - what a good girl. Five years ago, on one of our first trips to the new bush block, Zoe disappeared from our enclosed yard just on sunset. After much calling we saw shining eyes coming back towards the front gate. She waited for us to let her in - she couldn't put one front foot to the ground, she limped on one back leg, she had blood around her mouth (from chewing through the wire fence!) and she had the biggest staffy grin on her face!! She'd had the best time of her life - out chasing roos! It took a while but now she will "sit and watch" and the roos "sit and watch" her back...
@taffy,@suzanne234, @bintal, @fbailey, @golftragic Hi Taffy, Suzanne, Sylvia, FB and Marnie - She is very prone to what our kids call (rudely!) "brain farts". The whole nervous system just goes AWOL at the sight of a pig or fox - we don't really know where or when she would stop and whether she'd ever find her way home - hence the harness and leash. Funnily enough, she's good with roos now and - weirdly, with snakes. She actually ferreted out a black snake this morning - we found her just sniffing at it and it just looking at her. Very scary! :) Thank you all for having a look!
@robz Fair enough with pigs and foxes, she is a staffy after all. You've done well to train her to stay clear of roos and, every more so, snakes. Yikes!!
