It was a breathe of fresh air to see a slack rope set up in a public space - for anybody to play on. This would simply not happen in an Australian city - the city fathers would be too concerned about public liability. Alex had a partial success!
Street artists are so good to have... i remember the first time i was in London, the subway there is huge and deep... in one of the passages someone was playing a flute... and the echo was so good... maybe bit strange but it is the best memory i have from that trip :) Not sure how many bands and artists have been "born" in the subway, but without it we would have missed Cockney Rebel for an example :) Thank you for this shot and story Rob, brought back a good memory :)
@madeinnl Aww - that's so good to read Ko - It's nice when a photo from someone else's project brings back memories of your own. Thank you so much for your words. :)
@30pics4jackiesdiamond Hi Jackie - we've realised how restricted we are in Oz after traveling through these countries. Life loses some of its sparkle when you're not allowed to do lots of crazy things...And you were right - this was Alex on the way down to the ground!
@casablanca Hi Casablanca - after seeing some of these countries it makes us realize that we actually live in a country which is a bit of a Nanny State! This was fun for Alex - and lots of other kids - and adults too. :)
