Quite normal... by robz

Quite normal...

This image was taken in the region of Lofoten - along the Norwegian coastline - from the ship M.S.Lofoten. The small fishing boat was so very normal - we see such boats with their accompanying seagulls at home. However, that spectacular backdrop is nothing like anything at home. This is for the 52week challenge with the theme of "normal".
What a beautiful landscape. It looks so peaceful.

Dramatic scenery. I sometimes look at a live webcam in the Lofoten Islands and it always looks so quiet with extremes of light summers and dark winters.

Such great depth and sense of distance...such great tones and the boat gives such good scale and the color of it adds so much too...lovely.

Stunning landscape in the background. Shows how insignificant we humans are in natures' scheme of things.

Hi Hydee, Liana, FB, Sarah, Batya, Lesley, Granagringa, Marnie, Dorothy, Ko, and Ann. I noticed that this photo ended up on the Trending Page. Thank you all so much for your input but I feel that the Coast of Norway earned the Trending Page recognition rather than my photographic skills. It was just spectacular - so many photographic opportunities - it was very difficult to choose just one photo to show you. We have loved our time in Norway!! Many thanks again Cheers Rob
