Editing Experiment - WWYD111 Challenge

So... I know almost nothing about editing photos. Layers and I do not understand each other, at all. This is my first experiment with Pic Monkey. Don't worry about commenting. It feels like amateur hour to me, but here goes.
Later: I should have been clearer... I took the challenge photo and edited it, just to stretch myself in uncomfortable ways. Ouch!
