Spotted while running, on the streets of the city where she was born. Posted a few days late, but she was such a force for creativity in the world, I don't want to let her passing go unremarked. Someone had taped the top handwritten note on the sidewalk near her star on the street's "Walk of Fame."
10/1/2020: Finished year 7 (!), with continuing gratitude towards this amazing community. Based in St. Louis, MO. Regular worker-bee and self-taught photography dilettante....
@gigiflower@jules13@ceilidh@taffy@tosee Thanks, all. My son said something telling to me, when we were discussing this tribute... he said that he thinks the highest compliment to Maya would be to read some of her works. I had not thought about it like that before... I suspect that he is right.
