Today we wrapped up classes and it was a traveling day, from Washington, DC, to home. I really did see the cherry blossoms, but the architecture took a front row seat over the last few days. Here are the cherry blossoms, from around the basin, Jefferson Memorial in the background. A lovely sight. :)
Take care, everyone, and many thanks for stopping by.

This is a classic and an instant fav for me! The cherry blossoms as frame is ideal for the monument, which is as clear as can be. Love the whole composition.
Oh my gosh! It's so funny that we were probably standing in the same spot! You were two days ahead of me so your blossoms are at their peak. Lovely shot, I love the focus on the flowers. Looking over your shots of DC, it looks like you had a great time and were very productive with your camera. Each and everyone is a fav! You have very lovely work, I'm following your project.
This is so beautiful, I had to view it on the large screen and on black. You have framed the memorial perfectly with the blossoms; blurring the memorial, however, places all the attention on the blossoms, but provides context - very clever. If I am not mistaken, the memorial is built very much in the style of the Pantheon in Rome - do you happen to know anything about that?
