I spent 2 hours this morning raking up 2 builders bags of leaves out of the front garden and filled the wheelie bin as well so I was whacked out by the time I came in and I knew that if I sat down in a comfy chair, I would fall asleep so I kept going instead. After lunch, I decided to drive over to Great Barford (the next village on) and take some pics across the fields which is what I did.
First of all, I walked over with my little camera and small lens on and then I walked back to the car to get my best camera with Big Bertha on as I had seen a load of seagulls. Of course by the time I got back, they had gone! Anyway, I still got some nice shots of the bridge, etc.
The early fifteenth century Great Barford Bridge, sometimes called simply Barford Bridge, spans the River Great Ouse at Great Barford, Bedfordshire. It is an arch bridge with seventeen arches, originally built from limestone and sandstone. The bridge underwent significant changes in the 19th century, with a widening project in 1818 that used wood being superseded in 1874 with the use of brick. It is Grade I listed and a Scheduled Ancient Monument.
Thank you for your kind comments and Favs - it is always much appreciated. I'm off to see how my pics have done in the Camera Club competition tonight so will need to catch up later. Funnily, I can't remember what I entered. Silly me
