Look who I saw down Wood Lane

I couldn't believe how cold it was when I went out for a walk along Wood Lane. I was tempted to put my parka on but thought that it's supposed to be summer so just put a light jacket on. I was frozen and wondered to myself what I was doing walking along feeling frozen and my hands were especially cold! Anyway, as I was on my way back, I was thrilled to see Mr Fox sitting in the road rather a long way off but I had my 400mm lens with 1.4 teleconverter on so took a few shots. My hands were so cold that I think I was probably not terribly well in control of my camera but the shots don't look too bad.

Thanks for getting yesterday's blackbird and Chicago Culteral Centre on PP - it is always a great thrill to see them there.
He has his eye on you Rosie!! Yes it's freezing today - is it really June?

I have never seen a fox like this before - looking right back into the camera. Another great capture. Agree about the cold - we need some sunshine.

What a great find. I love foxes, but people aren't too keen on them here.

Great find. Odd time for him to be out and about. I have seen them day time but much more often evening, night or first light.
