Another candid shot from yesterday. I am trying to get a letter from the doctor to take to the airport about the fact that I have a metal plate and screws in my foot and I asked her to do it on 18 August but I am having to jump through hoops to get it - it is so frustrating!!!!! I have now been told after 3 phone calls that I can collect it after 3.30pm today so that's where I'm off to.

A sweet capture.. I shouldn't worry too much about the airport security. John always tells them he has a metal knee but they still almost strip search him when he sets the alarm off,even though he shows them his scar. Some of them really are jobsworths.
I have metal plates and screws in my ankle and also in my wrist and I have never set off the machines at the airport. I think mine are titanium and that shouldn't set off the machines as I don't think titanium is magnetic. If it does they can then put the wand over you and they can see that it is inside.
