I went to the brook again this morning to check that we hadn't frightened Bluey away and also I took my 1.4 extender. About a minute after I had set up, Bluey flew high along the bank to check who was about and satisfied that I was on my own, swooped down and perched on his favourite perch. I think I saw his wife briefly but cannot be sure. He then visited his perch a couple of times more. I was satisfied that he had not been upset by our visits yesterday and left him in peace.
It has been a wonderful day here with temperatures of 24 degrees! I am sitting at the kitchen table with the door open - unheard of for March really.
