I don't see Mrs Bluey very often but I was thrilled to see her today. At one stage both male and female kingfishers flew over the bank in the opposite dir3ection to where I was laying in my lumpy hollow! I think the pair of them were a bit wary of me today. Initially, I tried standing beside a tree with the tripod fully extended and Mr Bluey came and briefly settled on his perch for about half a minute. I then decided to go back to my usual resting place (uncomfortable as it is) and that's when I got this shot. She then flew into the tree opposite and sat there for about 7 minutes but of course my camera was pointed in the wrong direction and when I thought I would try moving it, you guessed it, she flew off!
