I have another robin pic with the bird singingk. In fact I have a few but I thought I would save that for another day and post one of Mrs Blackbird who kindly perched on the fence for me. I cleaned my windows this morning as I couldn't focus due to the dirt! They are not really much better but I managed to get this pic. I've posted something quite different in my Even More album in case you get fed up of all my bird pics.
@busylady@landownunder@khirsch@streetlyend@esox@carolmw@sabanford Thank you - I do feed them with dried fruit sometimes raisins or sultanas or even mixed fruit. I also give them apples if they have gone bit soft. Blackbirds really like fruit especially when the ground is hard with frost
@rosiekind we feed the blackbirds wit apples as well, they love them, but we don't have that many blackbirds as we used to have- due to the fact that here in our area of Germany their number has been diminished by a tropical virus transmitted by mosquitos
@rosiekind we have quite a few sparrows in our garden, but not half as much as there were 6/7 years ago. I tink the living conditions for birds have disimproved in the last years. Its a pity. We have very few birds at our feeder. I think its due to the fact that they don't find places to breed anymore. That's why I love the bird shots so much, my substitute for not seeing them here :)
