Red peppers but not the hot kind! See my poem below
Red
Red the colour of brightness and cheer
It’s the colour I wear all of the year
It always reminds me of Christmas and holly
Of happier times, when things were so jolly
It is the colour that brings me alive
When wearing red, I always thrive
Vibrant sparkle on wanton lips
Right down to the nails on my fingertips
Drawn like bees towards a honey pot
Men surround me as often as not
Tall and elegant, drawn to admire
The glow of life burns within my desire
I could dance in a gown of red silk blaze
For all the world – me on my stage
Brightness of the colour I dare
To wear upon the sweeping stair
My entrance to make, each to admire
Sultry looks for men to desire
My eyes of blue are enhanced by my dress
Red is the colour I always like best
Another poem I wrote years ago in my younger days!
