Driving further along the Embankment I noticed that the trees are beginning to shed their leaves and it is looking much more autumnal. The temperatures confirm that too as I have had to put the heating on. I think coming back from Ibiza in September is not always a good thing as you feel the cold more when you come back. A bit different to living in a bikini and shorts! However, I love autumn and it is my favourite time of year. There is something about the smell of the hedgerows with the lovely bright colour of berries that really excites me. How sad is that! I hate what follows though as I hate it being cold in winter and I am going to persuade Steve to have a look at the wood burning stoves tomorrow so that we can keep ourselves cosy
This is so pretty. (If you'd you'd like any friendly advice on wood stoves we'd be glad to help out. We had one in Canada and also have one here. Very cosy!)
@busylady Thanks for the offer of help. I think we are going to have a look this afternoon at the shop in Ampthill but we won't make any sort of decision just go and browse. We shall have to move the thermostat in the lounge to somewhere else otherwise the rest of the heating won't come on and we'll be perished everywhere else in the house so we've got a lot to sort out before we can have one installed but I will bear it in mind your offer of help
