I posted one of Mr Heron coming in to land so I thought I would post one of him taking off. He flew from a tree he was standing in to the bank on the other side of the river and I just happened to be standing on the bridge so I got a good view of him. Very obliging of him I must say. The herons seem to be quite at home with me. I just like the reflections in this shot.
I had a nice meal with my friends last night. We have been meeting for 35 years as we first got to know each other when we went to evening classes to do English Literature O level and we've kept in touch ever since. We take it in turns to cook dinner approximately every couple of months and catch up with what's going on in our lives and our families. I'm the baby of the group as Sheila the oldest is now over 80, nearly 20 years older than me but we still have a lot in common because we have watched our families grow up.
