Give him enough rope and he'll hang himself! I was sitting out in the garden watching the birds when I spotted this rope hanging out of the silver birch tree in the back garden. There used to be a swing hanging from it but the seat part rotted off and my youngest grandson unfortunately broke it last time he was over so Steve knotted it up and left it hanging from the tree. I just liked the texture of the rope against the background in this shot. It's amazing what you see when you've got a camera in your hand. This is the only pic today which doesn't have red in it and red is my favourite colour I must admit
By the way, please don't take the saying literally, it means that people given some leeway will get themselves into trouble!
