I don't know what has been happening to this little blue tit but his face looked decidedly scruffy. It may be that he is a young one and he hasn't had a moult for his spring/summer coat. I'm not sure but I shall have to google and see whether there is a different explanation. He may of course have been attacked by a predator but I hope not.
