Saddling Up

My get pushed challenge by Sandra: I'd like to see more people. Whatever you like. A people on the street shot, get some friends to pose. People is your push.
People photography is not my forte and since I spend most of my time with animals I am much more comfortable taking pictures of them!
This is the groom, Godwin helping us prepare the horses for an outride.

@msk1p2 Not really what you are looking for I'm sure, but there is a human there!

i know what you mean, sally. people are soooo hard to photograph, but then i have a 'sophie la rue' who is always willing to pose for me. other than that i have no 'people skills'. but i do like this shot - the lighting and the shadows, the angle - beautiful!

Well, you probably stretched that requirement to the max with this shot, but it's a good one for dipping your toes in the water. Next shot is standing on one side of the horse while the groom works on the other side so that you can see his face. After all, once you dip your toes in the best thing to do is jump on in! I do like the way the horse on the far right is posed though- beautiful coat on that one.
