Get Pushed Challenge: I have been doing this challenge on and off...
my love for daisies started when i was young, my grand aunt had them in a long flower box on the terrace window which she called "african daisy" and they were so beautiful in so many beautiful colours. your daisy pics always remind me of them.
@summerfield Vikki, the daisies that I have in my garden are what are commonly referred to as 'African daisies'. They multiply like mad and can take over if you don't keep them in check. Many people here grow them in pots only to keep them under control. I have a large group of these purple ones growing (covers about 1m squared) that I didn't plant they just arrived!
@salza - send them here! they so die easily here. snd they're sold as an annual perhaps to curve them from multiplying. they'll freeze to death anyway.
@summerfield I have seen them used a indoor plants and as long as they get sun they continue to flower. The more you dead head the more they flower as well. I many areas here they are grown as annuals as they normally die back at the end of summer. They're mainly spring flowering but often start flowering late winter. Will probably flower through until December.
