4) Day 110: Telford Campsite to Birchwood Station through Mt Linton Station to meet up with Wairaki River then cross it knee deep, then crossed undulating tracks across Mt Linton Station and a short road walk to reach Birchwood Station quarters - 27km 8.5hr
Mice shared the hut and my pillow, hosts had covid, rest!
@johnfalconer The old huts either have mice or baited traps. I found a family of the critters in behind the fireplace watching what was for dinner. I spent the night hanging all my gear. Until bed and one ran across my sleeping bag. I swapped bunks and fell asleep.
