HIBISCUS FLOWER by sangwann

HIBISCUS FLOWER

I have had this Hibiscus plant for the last 5 or 6 years. I raised it from a cutting I obtained from a large one in front of a Sliema house. I liked that plant because of its YELLOW double foliage flowers. I keep the plant in a big flower pot so I can control its growth because another Hibiscus (red) which I planted directly in the soil has grown into a tree and I find it difficult to control its growth through pruning. What intrigues me with this Hibiscus that the first flowers are (appearing in late winter) are yellow, later flowers blooming in spring are orange and summer flowers, though retaining their orangy colour have tinges of red. I suppose this is either because of the higher u.v in the sun rays or because of the greater warmth.
Lovely flower - great shot of it!
